Terms of Sale and Licence

These terms summarize the Cutline Studio Licence Agreement you accept when you install the software. The full agreement is shown in the app (Help → Licence agreement).

1. Licence

You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use Cutline Studio on the number of computers your key allows. You can move it to a new computer by deactivating it on the old one (Help → Licence). Don't share, resell, crack or reverse-engineer it.

2. Free trial

7 days from your first design, or until its $1.50 of included AI is used up, whichever comes first. After that, designing and CAM keep working; saving G-code, DXF files and plans needs a licence.

3. Plans

Buy outright is a one-time payment for all 1.x versions, using your own Anthropic API key for Claude (Anthropic bills you directly). A subscription renews automatically until cancelled and includes Cutline AI with a monthly allowance. When the allowance runs out, wait for it to renew or add your own API key. When a subscription ends, saving and included AI stop at the next licence check.

Cutline Control, a machine-control feature of Cutline Studio, is in development. When it is released, it will be added to Cutline Studio through a normal update and included with every plan at no extra cost: for subscribers while the subscription is active, and for buy-outright licences as part of the 1.x licence.

4. Prices

In USD. Purchases are sold through Link, Stripe's checkout, which is the seller of record for the payment and calculates and collects any sales tax or VAT at checkout. We may change prices for new purchases and future renewal periods, with notice to subscribers before the change applies.

5. Your machine, your responsibility

Cutline Studio makes designs and G-code. Until Cutline Control is released, it doesn't control your machine. CNC routers can cause serious injury, fire and damage. Check every design and file, follow your machine's instructions, wear eye and hearing protection, clamp your material, air-cut new files first, and never leave a machine running unattended.

6. AI-generated designs

Designs, joinery, dimensions and feeds are suggested by software and an AI model and can be wrong. The built-in checks don't verify strength, stability or load capacity. Don't rely on anything made with Cutline Studio to hold weight or people unless you have verified it yourself.

7. No warranty

The software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for injury, property or machine damage, lost material or profits, or indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Ending

The licence ends if you break these terms. You can stop using the software at any time.

10. Law

Colorado, USA, without affecting mandatory consumer protections where you live. Questions: [contact email].
